The Food Bank of Nevada County was founded in 1986, and over three decades later it continues to be a vital part of this community. We provide food to those in need throughout the entire Nevada County area. We take food to locations in Grass Valley, North San Juan, Washington, Higgins, Penn Valley and Truckee. As well as a home delivery program. With these distributions, we are able to bring the food to those in need. We provide to over 17,000 people a month. On site, we provide emergency food and offer food support to various local, nonprofit organizations that are focused on reducing hunger. We also provide nutritious snacks to schools throughout the county.
